Jamie Becker of The Becker Team is part of Ryan Kelley and The Home Loan Expert’s team for the Annual Climb For The Kids. In December 2019, they travelled to Ecuador to summit Cotopaxi in order to raise money and awareness to help families battling life-threatening diseases, and part of their goal was to raise money for Friends of Staunton State Park to purchase another Action track chair. We are thrilled to report that we have now purchased and had delivered “Mark 5” – the 5th Action track chair to join the Staunton Track Chair Program, and one of the new models with better suspension for a more comfortable ride for our visitors with disabilities. They recently visited us at Staunton State Park to see the Action track chair they helped us purchase, and let us talk about our efforts to improve accessibility at Staunton State Park. This year, they plan to summit four 14ers in Colorado in 4 days time for their 6th Annual Climb For The Kids! September 24-27th, they’ll climb Mt Massive, Mt. Elbert, Capitol Peak and Maroon Bells. They plan to broadcast LIVE as they climb – follow along on their Climb For The Kids YouTube Channel!

The founding and funding of the groundbreaking Staunton Track Chair Program by Friends of Staunton State Park through the Mark Madsen Accessibility Fund has allowed hundreds of individuals with disabilities due to injuries and diseases, and their families, enjoy the outdoors where they otherwise couldn’t. Being outdoors is healing for the mind, body, and soul, and we are grateful to Jamie Becker, Ryan Kelley, and their teams for their support!
